Silestone Construction in Ontario, CA | Workshop Contractors

We’re an independent General Contractor in Ontario providing Silestone templating, fabrication, and installation across Ontario, CA, from the older tract-home neighborhoods south of Holt Blvd to the newer stucco subdivisions on the city’s north and east sides. The one thing that makes our Silestone work different here is this: we understand how Ontario’s expansive clay soils move under slab-on-grade foundations, and we support every quartz top we install so it doesn’t crack when the floor shifts. Call (844) 384-3361 for a free estimate on Silestone countertops, islands, or vanities anywhere in Ontario.

Why Ontario Residents Choose Us for Silestone Service

We’ve templated, fabricated, and installed Silestone quartz across hundreds of Inland Empire kitchens and baths, and we know the material’s resin chemistry and heat behavior as well as any contractor working in Ontario. Noel Figueroa, our owner and general contractor, grew up in the Vineyard neighborhood right here in Ontario and learned construction at Chaffey College before spending decades working on homes and commercial spaces across the Inland Empire. That local history means something when we walk into a 1950s Ontario home and see the same slab-and-clay conditions we’ve been correcting for years. We’re not a Silestone dealer and we’re not manufacturer-authorized: we’re an independent contractor who buys the material, cuts it, sets it, and stands behind the installation. For deeper context on how we handle Silestone sales & service, see our brand overview page.

Common Silestone Construction Problems We Solve in Ontario

  • Seam separation on out-of-level cabinet runs. In Ontario’s post-war homes south of Holt Blvd, the original cabinet boxes were often set directly on slabs that have since shifted. When the floor moves even a quarter inch, a Silestone top spanning multiple cabinets develops hairline cracks at the seam. We level and shim the cabinet run before templating, then use flexible-set adhesive at the wall so the top can move slightly without failing.
  • Heat damage and resin yellowing near ranges. Silestone’s polyester resin binder is more heat-sensitive than granite, and Ontario’s summer afternoons regularly push past 100°F. A top installed too close to a range or under an unshaded west-facing window can yellow or develop thermal stress cracks. We recommend and install proper heat barriers at the range and advise clients on sun exposure for window-adjacent runs.
  • Etching and dulling at sink cutouts from hard water. Inland Empire municipal water carries high mineral content, and we’ve seen Ontario kitchens where the sink cutout area is dull and etched while the rest of the top looks new. We replace failed undermount clips with corrosion-rated stainless hardware and set a fresh substrate backer at every cutout so the heavy quartz slab can’t drop.
  • Chip-out at island edges and overhangs. Ontario’s older homes often have builder-grade cabinet boxes that have racked over decades. When an island overhang is supported by a racked box, the unsupported edge becomes a chipping hazard under daily use. We reinforce the cabinet structure before the Silestone goes on, which eliminates the leverage point that causes edge chipping.
  • Failed seams on otherwise sound slabs. We don’t push full replacement when one seam has separated or an edge has chipped on a structurally sound top. We repair and re-seal the seam honestly, and we’ll tell you if a repair won’t hold.

Silestone Service in Ontario: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s the thing most countertop companies won’t tell you when they quote a Silestone installation in Ontario: the city’s older south-side neighborhoods were built slab-on-grade with shallow footings over expansive clay. That clay swells when wet and shrinks when it dries, and after seventy years of Ontario’s hot, dry summers and occasional heavy rains, the slabs under these homes have moved. We’ve pulled original laminate tops off 1950s tract homes near downtown Ontario and found the slab had heaved a half inch under the cabinet run, leaving the boxes visibly out of level. A Silestone top installed over that condition is riding on a floor that may already be moving, which is why seams crack and edges chip in Ontario homes that would be perfectly stable in Rancho Cucamonga or Upland. We don’t template until the cabinet run is leveled and reinforced, and on homes with significant slab movement, we discuss whether pier-and-beam or post-tension correction makes sense before we set a single quartz slab. Off Euclid Avenue and along Holt Blvd, this is a routine part of the job; in the newer subdivisions north of the 10, it’s rarely an issue. The service area details are on our Ontario service area page if you’re wondering whether your home falls into the older or newer stock.

Silestone Models & Products We Service in Ontario

We work with the full Silestone quartz portfolio, but the models we see most often in Ontario kitchens and baths are Calacatta Gold, Lyra, Stellar Blanco, and Eternal Statuario. Each has its own veining density and resin percentage, which affects how it cuts and how it behaves at the seam. We keep installation-grade materials stocked locally for fast turnaround in Ontario, including color-matched adhesive, fresh substrate backer, corrosion-rated undermount clips, and seam joining compounds for the most common Silestone colors. For parts, we use OEM-compatible mounting hardware and adhesives rather than reusing tired clips or whatever is left in a van from another job. We pair every Silestone slab we install with a quality undermount sink and fresh deck substrate, because the slab is only as stable as what’s under it.

FAQs – Silestone Construction in Ontario

Can you match my existing Silestone Calacatta Gold when only one section failed? Yes, in most cases we can source the same Calacatta Gold slab and template a replacement section that matches the existing top’s veining closely enough that the seam reads as intentional. We’ll also check why the original section failed first, because if it was a movement issue in your Ontario home’s slab or cabinets, a replacement section will fail the same way unless we correct the underlying problem first. Call (844) 384-3361 for a free assessment.

Are you an authorized Silestone dealer? No. We’re an independent Ontario general contractor that buys, templates, fabricates, and installs Silestone quartz for Home Remodeling – Ontario projects. We have no affiliation with or authorization from Silestone or its parent company, which means we’re free to tell you when a repair will hold and when a slab needs replacement without a brand rep’s sales agenda driving the recommendation.

Do you use genuine Silestone or aftermarket material? We use genuine Silestone slabs supplied through standard distribution channels. When it comes to mounting hardware, adhesives, and sink clips, we use OEM-compatible products rated for wet environments and quartz weight loads. We don’t reuse old sink clips or skip fresh substrate at cutouts, because those shortcuts are what cause most failures we see in older Ontario homes.

What Silestone models do you cover in Ontario? We service all current Silestone product lines, with the most frequent Ontario installations being Calacatta Gold, Lyra, Stellar Blanco, and Eternal Statuario. If you have a color that’s been discontinued or a slab that came with the house, we can still work with it: we’ll template the space, sample the existing material, and match as closely as Silestone’s current palette allows. Call (844) 384-3361 with your color name and we’ll check availability.

How much does a Silestone countertop replacement cost in Ontario? Countertop installation in Ontario typically runs between $2,000 and $6,500, depending on square footage, edge profile, cutouts, and the condition of your cabinet boxes and slab. A kitchen island runs $3,000 to $10,000. If your Ontario home’s slab has moved and we need to level the cabinet run first, the labor line item increases, and you’ll see that on the written estimate. Call (844) 384-3361 for an exact quote for your kitchen.
